Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Mombasa / Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park
Early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, cruise terminal or Moi International Airport. Drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway to Tsavo East National Park and enter through Bachuma Gate. Enjoy a game drive across the open plains while searching for red elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. Proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch. After a short rest, return to the park for an afternoon game drive around Aruba Dam and nearby wildlife areas before dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Tsavo East – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Salt Lick Safari Lodge
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you leave Tsavo East and proceed to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge or a similar property. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the sanctuary, known for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and rich birdlife. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight while watching animals gather near the waterholes.
Day 3
Taita Hills – Mombasa / Diani Beach
Begin with an early morning game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary when wildlife is most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out and enjoy a final game drive as you leave the sanctuary. Drive back to Mombasa or Diani Beach, with lunch arranged en route depending on the schedule, and arrive in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel, residence or airport.
